July 12, 2006 - After just one day on eBay the \"Name our Improv Group\" auction has amassed dozens of bids and created a small bidding war that, as of Tuesday evening, drove the auction up to $265. No one is more surprised than the unnamed comedy troupe who have agreed to go by the name selected by the winning bidder.
\"I figured we\'d be lucky to get 100 bucks,\" states group member Jarret Berenstein. \"But I\'m happy to be wrong. It just goes to show you there are plenty of people with a sense of humor out there.\"
The actual name will be kept secret until the team\'s debut, but suggestions posted to the groups website by followers of the auction run the gamut of humor and include, \'Sgt Hooha\'s Yuck\'em Up Brigade\', \'Mr. Tumnus is Dyslexic\', \'The Outernet\', \'Mr Tumnus is Dyslexic\', and \'Doop Doop Doop\'. Bidders are encouraged to submit their name to the group by email to ensure the fairest auction possible. \"There are certain names Magnet Theater won\'t allow-anything offensive or in violation of copyright are rejected.\"
